Falling Pixel is a relatively new contender in the 3D modeling world; however, they have hit the ground running and from the looks of it, nothing is going to stand in their way. Their collection includes some of the highest quality models we reviewed in a large array of categories. All models can be viewed without a membership. Additionally, they include a request service that allows you to place a model request to the company and they will find an artist that will best suit your needs.

Falling Pixel boasts one of the best artist commission rates in the industry with artists receiving 58 percent of the model’s sale price. Also, we found the customer service to be excellent when our email was answered within an hour.

Service/Products Offered:  

Like our top products, Falling Pixel offers 3D models and textures. Appealing to an international market all models are priced individually in Euro and prices vary depending on quality of the image, the artist and your exchange rate. They have a small section for tutorials and encourage member contributions.

Falling Pixel highly encourages potential buyers to participate in their 3DRequest program if they cannot find what they are looking for on the site or require specific items or images. Depending on your request, time and budget, Falling Pixel will find an artist that will suit your needs.  

Model Quality:  

We found many of Falling Pixel’s models to be exceptional. Most artists focus on making images as realistic as possible, and on more than one car model, we had difficulty telling the difference between the 3D model and a photograph. 

Model Selection:  

They offer a large selection of categories including animals, fantasy and electronics. Many artists will make their images compatible with multiple programs and file types. You can search for 3D models based on subject, keyword, format, price and artist.

In addition to typical file formats, Falling Pixel also includes Cinema 4D, Houdini, Maya files and more.

Help/Support:  

We had an excellent experience with Falling Pixel’s customer service. Falling Pixel is located in the UK and since TopTenREVIEWS is in the United States, we expected support to take at least a day to respond because of the time difference. We were pleasantly surprised when they returned our email within an hour.

Additionally, the FAQs are helpful and the seller’s tutorial will answer most artists questions about getting started. However, we would like to see Falling Pixel include a member’s forum in the future.  

Summary:  

For such a young company, Falling Pixel is off to a great start. The website is well organized and everything is available to view without a membership. We see Falling Pixel eventually giving top competitors in the industry a run for their money.
